Senior #2 I think I could see that

  1. What is the setting of the story?  Is the setting familiar or unfamiliar to you?  Why?  (It might be familiar if you’ve been to the place where the story is set or it is set in modern-day.  It might be unfamiliar if it is in a time period you haven’t lived during, is set somewhere where you haven’t been to, or is set in a fantasy world.) How did familiarity or unfamiliarity affect your ability to envision the story?

The story is set in the beautiful mexico. What a magically place to go but not like Disney world though.  The setting is a little unfamiliar to me because I have never been there before but i have took Spanish and learned a lot about the area and culrture. It seems like a very nice place to go on vacation and the way it is described in the book sounds beautiful.

The delicious aroma of grilled beef and pork lingered

This is my favorite quote from the book describing how the scenery is in mexico. If she can smell all that and describe it in the story so out there  then so can I. I just love the thought of having food and being able to smell it.  I kinda adapted to it quickly and i understood everything so easy after reading everything thoroughly.

Senior #2 What does that mean again

  1. What is the significance of the title of your book?  What does the title mean? Does it mean more than one thing?  How do you understand your book better because of the title?

This title sounds like the girl is  getting ready to have the best party every. The title does mean that she is getting ready to have to party but, it is complicated because she is having two and makes it seem really funny. I understand the book more because the title really gives us a little peace of what  the book is so that we are not aware of yet. Like what a quinceanera is because i did not know that is it a 15 birthday party. But it also tell us on the first page.

Estrella’s Quinceanera

That is the title and I feel that everything I said earlier was only me thinking like me. I guess to understand this and were I am coming from you would have to think like me in a way.

But, to get back on track this title gives us a lot of information before even reading the story. For example it tells us that the main charter name is estrella and she is having a  quinceanera.

Quinceanera: A formal  traditional party

That is what she defines as a quinceanera/ A soon to be 15 year old birthday

Senior #2 This Theme Has More Then it Seems

What is the theme of your book? (How do you know?) Does the theme reinforce or go against what most people think?  (Would most people agree or disagree with this theme?)  Explain.

A subject of a book is the point at which the theme is a intelligent  source  that appears to be sundry conditions all through that book, planned to ask the editor a question that is significant and as a rule oversees request of good and despicable. Points hoist as editor progress through stories. So now that you ken what a topic is, the topic of Estrella’s Quinceanera veraciously. Estella ought to have been veracious to her mother that she didn’t take  a significant voluminous gathering however she didn’t. Alongside advising her companions that she as of now hosted gathering going on and she couldn’t go to the one her companions were organizing for her.

I felt something tighten in my chest when I saw the way my mom was gazing  out at the party. How could I say no? “OK, mom.” I knew i was going to regret this . ”  Just promise one thing  That it will b a small one “

This quote was exhibiting how she did not tell her mother hat she did not optate a sizably voluminous party. She should have just kept going with the i don’t optate a party at all because my whole family is crazy. Most people would accede with this theme because it is just verbally expressing the truth. And throughout the whole entire book ll you wonder is why she did not just tell the truth.

Senior 2: She’s number 1 in my book

Question: What is a protagonist?  Who is the protagonist in the novel?  What makes the protagonist sympathetic or unsympathetic? Explain.

first-picture

What’s protagonist you ask, well a hero is the fundamental character of a book you may read. For clarity in my most loved book arrangement Harry Potter, the hero was Harry Potter himself. All through the whole book arrangement you would hear generally about him, however in my book Estrella’s Quinceanera the hero is Estella Alvarez. She was the fundamental character of the book I read. To be straightforward I feel thoughtful for Estrella. I felt thoughtful for her since her mom needed her to host a major get-together for her 15 birthday (a quinceanera). She would not like to have one tho she simply needed basic gathering with a couple of her loved ones. She got what she wish for yet in somewhat more entangled than that. Her mother arranged a gathering for her additionally her two closest companions Christie and Sheila arranged one for her as well. She was stuck in this issue when her closest companions chose to arrange a gathering for her and she didn’t let them know she as of now had a quinceanera gotten ready for her.

“I know” Christie said. “We’ll throw you a party.”

This is the quote from the book that began the entire issue. they were in Sheila’s room and were attempting on garments until Sheila raised that Estella had a birthday coming up and blast there it was. Immediately she knew something would happen that she was not prepared for. she had two gathering coming her direction how might she be at both. She knew she is stuck in an unfortunate situation.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

This Blog is based  on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets one of the greatest books in the world.  Anyway basically this book is the second book of the Harry Potter series. I love Harry Potter and I felt that this  book was perfect for me to blog about.   Anyway to catch you up on some of the well known facts of harry potter. Harry potter is a wizard that lives at The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry throughout the school year. The school is divided into four  houses  Gryffindor,  Hufflepuff,  Ravenclaw and  Slytherin. To be placed at one of theses house you must let  the Sorting  Hat be placed on your head  and it will tell you which house you were destined for. To either do great things or terrible things. After you find out what house you are in now on to to the feast which is lit AF. It is basically long tables filled with food. Anyway before i get cared away about the food and all it’s glory I should maybe  tell you about his friends. He has two very awesome friends that been there for him since day one, Hermione and Ron. Hermione is a brilliant witch an “A”student with quite a great personality. Ron on the other hand is a  great student too but not all the time. Any way that is  a good sum up to where we are. Hope you enjoy my blog!!

Is it Funny or Nah!

Q: If the story uses humor, how does the humor contribute to meaning?

By the title you guys and gals must have a  thought about what I am going to write about.  Is the story funny or nah!!!

Well it is really funny well yes it is in many ways.  I think that the story was really  funny actually. The funniest part in the story to me was when all the got freed from the red team and they were cheering and being happy I made me want to get up and start to cheer. Another really funny part was at the end of the story when the camp leader Ms.Butternut asked them all how did they get passed the red team. The blue team said that they climbed through poison point. Then all of a sudden Ms.Butternut said  “WAAITT!! I am afraid that you might all have poison ivy!!” She told them to all take showers with super strong soap and then go to the nurse for  medicine  By the way that is something you probably don’t want to get.  Anyway the story had sad moments harsh moments and  funny moments. The story was just plain crazy most the time which made it even better.

molly saves the day 2

But let’s get back on track. The question was if the story uses humor, how does the humor contribute to meaning? Well the meaning of the story is Friendship and Bravery. how does the humor  connect to these two. when they were screaming up and down when they got freed molly used her bravery to get them out. and when they got poison ivy they had to go to a place could poison point which is pretty brave in my book.  so basically this is a funny story I guess I just laugh when somebody gets hurt or when somebody is jumping up and down like an idiot
